Credits and Fees
How Fees Work
Sigma Engine splits exchanges into two categories based on how fees are collected:
Builder Fee Exchanges — No credits needed. The exchange collects a small builder fee (0-2.5 bps) on our behalf at the protocol level. You pay nothing extra to Sigma Engine. Builder fee's vary by exchange but do not go over 2.5bps, builders exchange list includes Hyperliquid, HotStuff, Extended, Hibachi, GRVT, Pacifica, Aftermath, DreamCash, TradeXYZ, and Nado.
Credit-Based Exchanges — Platform fees are deducted from your credit balance on each trade. Credits are required before placing orders. Includes Ethereal and 01 Exchange.
If you only trade on builder fee exchanges, you never need to add credits. Most users fall into this category. All trading activity counts toward Sigma Engine Points regardless of exchange type.
Adding Credits
Each account gets a unique deposit address assigned on sign-up. This address is yours alone and does not change.
- Go to Credits and Fees in the sidebar
- Copy your unique deposit address
- Send USDC or USDT from your connected wallet on any supported chain (Arbitrum, Ethereum, or Base)
- Your account is credited automatically once the transaction confirms on-chain
Arbitrum is recommended for the lowest gas fees. Deposits on Ethereum mainnet cost more in gas.
Important:
- Your deposit address is assigned to your account only. Deposits sent to any other address cannot be recovered
- Only send USDC or USDT on supported chains. Do not send unsupported tokens - they cannot be recovered
- Deposits are non refundable but are transferrable to a different wallet address manually. If you want this done, open a intercom ticket or support ticket in our community discord
- Send from the same wallet you signed in with
- Credits are non-withdrawable and non-refundable
- Minimum balance of $20 required to place trades on credit-based exchanges
Fee Tiers
Fees only apply on credit-based exchanges. Your rate decreases automatically as your rolling 30-day trading volume increases.

Volume is calculated across all credit-based exchanges combined. Trading on builder fee exchanges does not count toward fee tier progression, but all volume counts toward Sigma Engine Points.
Your current tier is highlighted on the Credits and Fees page. Fee History and Credit History panels show a full breakdown of charges and deposits over time.
Minimum Balance
A minimum credit balance of $20 is required to trade on credit-based exchanges.
