Connect an Exchange

Fund Your Exchange Wallet​

Before connecting, make sure you have funds deposited on the exchange you want to trade on. Sigma Engine does not hold your funds - your money stays on the exchange at all times.

  1. Go to the exchange's website (Ethereal, Hyperliquid, HotStuff, etc.)
  2. Deposit USDC or the exchange's accepted collateral into your trading account
  3. Come back to Sigma Engine and connect

Connection Methods​

Sigma Engine connects to exchanges via two methods depending on the exchange. Both are non-custodial - we can never withdraw or move your funds.

  • Linked Signer - A delegated signing key that can only place and cancel orders. Used by most DEXs.
  • API Keys - An API key and secret with trading-only permissions. Used by some DEXs and all CEXs.

Setup Steps​

  1. Sign in to Sigma Engine
  2. Navigate to Connections in the sidebar
  3. Select the exchange you want to connect
  4. Follow the prompts (link signer or paste API key depending on exchange)
  5. All credentials are encrypted immediately and stored securely
  6. Revoke access anytime via the exchange's own settings
